With more than one person cooking in most homes today, transitional style kitchens seem to offer something for everyone. They are classic yet fresh, feminine yet masculine, sophisticated yet practical.

Meet the designers: Amanda Moran

What’s important when designing kitchens:

  • Appliances: What type and what is ergonomic placement for each client
  • Lifestyle: What type of cooking will be performed, how often and will other activities happen in the kitchen like entertaining, homework or hobbies
  • Budget: Where should money be spent to maximize results

Design Philosophy: What makes a kitchen functional and beautiful is a subjective experience. I ask a lot of questions to determine the essential ingredients for each project. Perhaps it's color, a gadget, an appliance-there is room in every budget for individualism. My goal is to distill the client's input and use that essence to create a space that will be functional and harmonious which, in turn, cannot help but be beautiful.
